Caradon Riviera Tours, Upton Cross (Updated 18th May 2008)

Established by the Deeble family in the early 1920s, this independent expanded significantly in the early 1970s as a result of Western National's withdrawal from a large number of routes in north Cornwall. This was followed by the acquisition of Polperro-based Pearce Motors in 1974, which gave the company a foothold in Looe. Although the company's service interests have now passed to other operators, it retains a large fleet of coaches and school contract vehicles with depots at Upton Cross, Liskeard, Callington and Wadebridge.
