Chester City Transport, Chester (Updated 2nd June 2008)

This former municipal operator celebrated its centenary in 2002, but last year its controversial and protracted sale by the City Council was finally completed. First has taken over most of the services and initially leased much of the fleet before drafting in its own vehicles from other subsidiaries. Alongside the main fleet (which had been rebranded as ChesterBus in recent years), at the time of the sale the company also operated all park and ride facilities in Chester as well as seasonal open top services under a franchise agreement with City Sightseeing.
